Role Overview:
The Tax Resolution Specialist IV is a client-facing role acting as a liaison between clients and tax agencies. Responsibilities include preparing and processing amendments, researching agency notices, and maintaining good client standings with tax authorities.
What You'll Do:
Resolve and process tax correspondence and amendments, from simple to complex cases.
Research and analyze issues leading to out-of-compliance notices from tax agencies.
Prepare and file original and amended federal, SSA, state, and local tax returns.
Respond to client inquiries with high customer service standards.
Communicate with tax agencies to gather and analyze information necessary for tax filings.
Maintain knowledge of agency requirements, forms, and current tax issues.
Assist with tax filing processing and cross-training as needed.
Understand the end-to-end amendment process, including preparation work.
