Dockmaster (Shipyard)

We are looking for an experienced Dockmaster to oversee all vessel docking, undocking, and mooring operations at Sea Llyod Shipyard. This senior role requires technical expertise in dry dock and slip way operations and leadership in ensuring vessel and dock safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and supervise all docking and undocking procedures.
• Prepare detailed docking plans, block placements, and stress calculations.
• Direct docking teams including riggers, crane operators, and mooring gangs.
• Oversee vessel positioning, mooring, and shifting operations.
• Conduct pre-docking inspections of dock equipment and blocks.
• Monitor tides, currents, and environmental conditions.
• Ensure compliance with MPA and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in shipyard/dry dock operations.
• Proven record as a Dockmaster or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vessel structures, stress calculations, and stability.
• Familiarity with dry dock control systems and MPA guidelines.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Flexible with working hours to meet vessel schedules.
