Shipyard Operations Director Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee all vessel docking, undocking, and mooring operations at our state-of-the-art shipyard.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and supervise all docking and undocking procedures.
  • Prepare detailed docking plans, block placements, and stress calculations.
  • Direct docking teams including riggers, crane operators, and mooring gangs.
  • Oversee vessel positioning, mooring, and shifting operations.
  • Conduct pre-docking inspections of dock equipment and blocks.
  • Monitor tides, currents, and environmental conditions.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in shipyard/dry dock operations.
  • Proven record as a Dockmaster or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel structures, stress calculations, and stability.
  • Familiarity with dry dock control systems and maritime regulations.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Flexible with working hours to meet vessel schedules.
