Shipyard Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of shipyard operations, including planning, coordination, and execution.

Job Description

Develops and implements departmental plans to achieve business, production, and organizational priorities.

Directs activities in areas of safety, personnel, production, scheduling, material handling, and quality to ensure compliance with company directives.

Applies knowledge of marine engineering principles to vessel design, new construction, and repairs of ships and ships systems.

Reviews and interprets designs, drawings, and specifications, recommending changes to meet actual vessel conditions.

Directs and coordinates shipyard operations within company policies and procedures.

Responsible for the performance of craft supervisors, technicians, and line staff for safety, quality, cost, and scheduling.

Provides the quantity and quality of workers to meet schedule and budget requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

8 years of experience in the marine industry is a must.

Candidate must possess at least a degree in any field.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for effective collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Good attitude and team worker skills are essential.

Able to commit to a 5.5-day workweek and work under pressure making quick decisions.
