Role Summary
Reports to BLCCS, Board Representative
Coordinates with Programme Leads, Sponsors & Beneficiaries
Supervises interns, Programme Volunteers
Place of work at 248 Joo Chiat Road
Work week is Wednesdays to Sundays (full days)
Job Scope
The Programme Head leads the planning, execution and evaluation of BLCCS community initiatives, ensuring alignment with its mission to journey with the community it serves. The role includes building a coherent and impactful portfolio of service programmes by deepening existing work, developing new initiatives and coordinating with other teams for seamless service delivery. Ability to connect directly with beneficiaries and a heart to serve the community is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Strategy & Execution: Develop, execute and coordinate BLCCS’s programme pillars: Legal Clinic, Integration (Interest Groups), Family, and Education (Students/Legacy). Translate community needs into well-structured, sustainable programmes. Set KPIs and evaluate programme outcomes regularly.
Collaboration: Work closely with Partnerships, Communications, and Events teams to integrate programmes with fundraising, publicity, and major events. Support data collection for grant applications and reporting. Build trusting relationships with programme beneficiaries and partners.
Volunteer Management: Guide and support volunteer programme leads to deliver initiatives effectively. Oversee and mentor interns, delegating meaningful responsibilities and ensuring development. Foster a positive team culture grounded in compassion, accountability, and collaboration.
Operations & Logistics: Manage scheduling, resource allocation, venue bookings, and day-to-day operations across programmes. Gather community feedback to improve offerings and relevance. Ensure documentation and compliance for programme records.
Qualifications & Skills
At least 2 years of experience in programme management or community work
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Resourceful, grounded and possesses a collaborative mindset
Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work evenings as required for events
Values & fit alignment with BLCCS mission and heart for community transformation and intergenerational impact
Proficiency in tech tools like Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PPT, Canva and social media would be an advantage
