Mechanical Design Engineer – Job Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and self‐motivated mechanical design engineer capable of independently handling mechanical design tasks. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. The engineer will also participate in project tender and site visits to understand customer enquiries and expectations, develop concept design and support procurement team, communicate with customer, vendor and supplier to improve proposal process and quality. Key Responsibilities HVAC System Design – establish cleanroom design, prepare architectural layout using AutoCAD or Revit, develop HVAC P&ID, calculate load requirements, size components, control philosophy, alarm list. Mechanical System Design – process utility design per customer matrix, develop P&ID, piping/ducting layout, plant room space management, utility load calculation, control philosophy. Project Tendering – review tender requirements, conduct site visit, develop concept drawings, support procurement, evaluate vendor proposals, ensure compliance, improve competitive pricing. Project Management – coordinate with clients and stakeholders, conduct design presentation, clarify requirements, resolve issues. Documentation – prepare technical documents including MEP drawings, equipment schedule, RFQ/RFP, specification, maintain project files. Collaboration – work closely with electrical, control, civil, architectural teams to integrate systems, review supplier proposals, assist QS team on equipment selection. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, process engineering or related field. Minimum 4 years of mechanical design engineering experience, proven track record of independent project handling. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, HVAC codes (ASHRAE, ISO-14644, SMAGNA) and project bidding. Strong problem‐solving, analytical, communication skills; self‐motivated and able to work independently. Additional skills (optional): electrical LV wiring design, control logic diagram, BIM modelling, mobility as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
