What you’ll do
The APAC Sales team is seeking a proactive and results-driven Commercial Manager – Maritime who is excited about selling a disruptive technology solution in the commodities market and building on clients’ relationships through renewals, upsells and cross-sells.
Make daily outbound contacts by email, chat, and most importantly by phone. We want someone who is not afraid of cold calling or reaching out to senior executives.
Set up meetings and interact with decision makers, following up on data queries and pitching value based on a value-based selling approach.
Maintain accurate customer and sales information in our internal CRM. We are looking for people with a great drive and team spirit, who can multi-task and offer solutions.
Experience in the shipping, maritime and/or container sectors.
Work alongside internal teams including pre-sales and research teams to engage existing and new users.
You are or have...
Around 3-6 years of working experience in a sales role (exposure to the maritime market would be a strong plus).
Good English and Chinese language skills and strong presentation abilities with an excellent ability to persuade and relate to prospects and clients.
Experience in selling solutions in the Maritime, Commodities and/or B2B SaaS or data solutions.
Familiarity with and contacts within the maritime community.
A proactive ‘hunter’ mentality with a strategic mindset.
A team player who prioritises the business and aims for long-term gains for you and the team.
A positive attitude and motivation.
