Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation caseload, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Assist in the day-to-day clinical operations, including patient preparation, monitoring, and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography: Safely operate and manage X-ray equipment, taking high-quality diagnostic images as prescribed by veterinarians.
  • Patient Handling: Support physical therapies by handling and positioning patients calmly and securely, especially during treatments like hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Rehabilitation Assistance: Work alongside therapists to implement therapy plans, including massage, range-of-motion exercises, and equipment usage.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, noting treatments, responses, and imaging results.
  • Client Communication: Provide guidance and information to pet owners regarding procedures, aftercare, and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Inventory & Equipment Care: Ensure therapy and imaging equipment is maintained, clean, and used safely.

Requirements

  • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Radiography Skills: Proven ability to operate X-ray equipment and interpret basic imaging results. Certification or formal training in veterinary radiography is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working in a veterinary clinic or hospital. Prior experience in a rehabilitation, surgical, or imaging-focused setting is advantageous.
  • Animal Handling: Strong skills in safe, compassionate handling of animals, especially during therapy or imaging.
