Key Objective: Focused on Marine Carbon Compliance and responsible for ensuring our managed fleet fully complies with evolving international and regional carbon emissions regulations, including those from IMO and European Union. Main responsibility: Manage and update the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) for all applicable vessels, as well as Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system for the vessels in case of any EU and UK voyages. Develop, implement, and manage vessel-specific compliance plans to meet annual CII ratings, EEXI requirements, and other carbon-related mandates. Collect, validate, and manage critical vessel data (e.g., fuel consumption, distance travelled, hours underway, cargo carried). Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to relevant authorities (Flag State, Port State, EU Commission) for schemes including IMO DCS and EU MRV. Maintain a robust and auditable record-keeping system for all carbon-related data and documents. Provide crucial support to our Technical and Marine Superintendents, ensuring smooth day-to-day administration, impeccable document control, and effective coordination between ship and shore. Collect, file, and maintain records of vessel reports, maintenance records, oil analysis reports, performance data, etc. Track order status, update inventory records, and coordinate delivery logistics to vessels. Qualification: College degree or above. Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the shipping industry (e.g., ship management, ship owning, classification society, or maritime consultancy). Proven, hands-on experience with IMO and EU maritime environmental regulations is essential, particularly concerning CII, EEXI, EU MRV, and EU ETS. Direct experience in preparing and submitting emissions reports under EU ETS or IMO DCS would be a plus. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or specialized carbon software). Fluent English in writing and speaking. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex carbon tax scenarios.
