The Role Automotive and Industrial is one of Ricardo Plc's three operating business units and is a trusted global engineering services partner for clean and efficient integrated propulsion and energy systems. The Regional Lead defines, implements, and drives a growth strategy in the APAC region, achieving volume of pipeline required to deliver Order Intake revenue targets. Role involves business acumen, strategic planning, stakeholder management, team leadership, client relationship management, and collaboration across marketing, delivery, legal and finance. Key Responsibilities Overall owner of regional order intake and accountable for delivering required volume of orders. Coordinate Ricardo selling team in APAC, including direct reports, Marketing, Growth Solutions, SMEs and wider stakeholders. Develop and execute strategic sales plans with SVP of Business Development & Sales, Growth Solution Leaders and Marketing team to achieve or exceed pipeline and sales targets. Lead, motivate, mentor and grow the regional business development & sales team to maximise performance and meet personal quota. Set and monitor KPIs, provide robust OI forecast, manage lead qualification and pursuit process to improve close rates. Act as "voice of the customer" to identify gaps between market requirements and corporate capabilities, communicate to Growth Solutions. Define, quantify and sell value associated with Ricardo offerings, differentiating from competitors and driving pipeline growth. Behave as an influential regional expert, maintain deep knowledge of region, disseminate insights via territory plans and tactics. Represent Ricardo at trade shows, seminars and associations to promote credibility. Support marketing with value selling and competitive differentiation, intelligence, promotional material, presentations and PR campaigns. Generate timely reports, maintain CRM data and pipeline accuracy. Be mobile and willing to travel as needed. Ensure compliance with company standards, audit requirements, policy and procedures. Experience Extensive experience in business development in similar industries, with track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
