Senior Manager, Park Operations (Health & Safety)

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, integrating five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Overview

The role leads Health & Safety (H&S) and Fire Safety management across Mandai Wildlife Reserve parks and facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations, effective risk controls, and readiness through training and emergency planning.

Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety (H&S) Management: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations; review and implement control measures; conduct regular inspections; perform internal audits, gap analyses, and root cause identification; develop and maintain plans and reports for local statutory bodies; coordinate external audits and maintain ISO45001/bizSAFE documentation; liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence; conduct safety training and awareness programs; appointed as Secretariat for H&S working and steering committees.
  • Fire Safety Management: Appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for parks and facilities; develop and maintain emergency response plans (ERPs); review and guide emergency preparedness and response; plan, design, conduct, and evaluate emergency drills; prepare and submit annual fire safety reports; serve as a key member of the crisis management secretariat team.
  • Incident Response and Investigation: Respond to health, safety, and fire-related emergencies; investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions; maintain comprehensive records of incidents and resolutions.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal departments and external agencies (e.g., emergency services) to integrate safety measures into operations; support contractor management processes to meet statutory safety requirements; perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in workplace health and safety management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, fire safety standards, and emergency response protocols.
  • Valid certification for Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
