We are looking for a self-motivated, well-rounded IT professional with prior experience in managing multiple IT Development and Support (ASM) teams in an outsourced environment within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain.
The successful candidate should have hands-on experience managing large, outsourced IT development/transformation teams, a good understanding of IT processes and procedures, and the ability to identify and implement productivity improvement levers. The role also requires good project management knowledge, including methodologies like Agile and Waterfall. The candidate will be responsible for establishing operating procedures, managing people, planning activities, and work assignments within their span of control.
The primary KPIs include delivery excellence, customer satisfaction index, and P&L responsibility.
Job Requirements
Experience managing large Development and Production Support teams in an onsite-offshore environment involving more than 100 FTEs.
Domain knowledge in Payments, Channels, and Wealth Management.
Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.
Certification in Project Management practices and Agile Way of Working (WoW).
Experience managing delivery in BFSI domain with Retail Banking and Payments exposure.
Background in Development and Testing.
Experience managing project delivery in cloud technologies.
Experience managing multi-ethnic, multi-geographical teams.
Understanding of IT outsourcing engagement and commercial models.
Knowledge and experience implementing ITIL processes and productivity improvement levers to enhance operational efficiency.
Ability to manage overall team service quality and lead service recovery issues with clients.
Proven ability to manage fixed-price engagements, effectively handling scope, schedule, and budget.
Strong technical background for effective team management.
Excellent customer orientation and communication skills.
Experience participating in RFP/Bid processes including Due Diligence.
Good to Have
Understanding of IT outsourcing engagement and commercial models.
Experience managing transitions, including transitioning from incumbent vendors.
Non-Technical / Soft Skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a corporate environment.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Ability to work with diverse groups professionally.
Effective communication with mid/senior management professionals.
Ability to present status reports to senior management and respond to questions.
Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
