The Market Surveillance Investigator will work with compliance, legal, technology, and front‐office product teams to build and implement new surveillance capabilities. The role involves designing surveillance infrastructure, analyzing and investigating the output of surveillance reports, and identifying signals from complex data sets that could indicate market misconduct. This position requires independent decision making with high accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities Analyze alerts in a timely manner to detect and prevent market misconduct. Identify concerns and elevate them to stakeholders, highlighting abnormal or aberrant activity to senior management and product heads. Contribute to the design and development of models to enhance surveillance coverage, including conduct risk, compliance policies, and market manipulation. Perform ad‐hoc reviews of trading activity, applying judgment to resolve high‐risk behaviors efficiently. Summarize findings and share with relevant stakeholders such as Legal and Compliance. Stay informed of regulatory, business, and market‐structure changes that impact the surveillance program and continuously improve coverage and performance. Communicate effectively with market participants regarding activity under review. Requirements At least 2 years of experience in finance, compliance, or a regulatory environment with a solid understanding of financial markets and trading. Experience working in a rapidly changing, complex work environment. Strong functional knowledge of trade surveillance and exception‐based monitoring. Substantial knowledge of financial/trading regulatory frameworks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‐starter, results‐oriented, resourceful, and able to persevere through obstacles. High level of initiative, analytical skills, and impeccable integrity.
