Prime Brokerage Operations - AVP, Corporate Actions Specialist
Corporate Actions Processing and Reconciliation
Oversee the end-to-end processing and reconciliation of corporate actions across a range of asset classes including equities, equity swaps, fixed income and structured products, ensuring accuracy and alignment with market standards and client entitlements.
Liaise with custodians, depositories, and service providers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Review and authorize securities transfers, tax declarations, and share-related documentation.
Monitor and resolve breaks or discrepancies in entitlements and positions.
Identify, investigate, and resolve any process-related issues to prevent operational disruptions.
Handle US-sourced income reconciliation and annual QI tax reporting submissions to the IRS.
Keep abreast of market and regulatory changes and update internal procedures accordingly.
Leadership & Team Management
Manage a team of operations professionals responsible for asset safekeeping and corporate action processing.
Drive service quality, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
Oversee staffing, training, and performance management to support business growth.
System Support & Implementation
Ensure smooth end-of-day operational process monitoring and issue resolution.
Provide first-line application support for internal back-office systems and positions updates to trading application
Contribute to the implementation of new systems, testing, validating, and implementing new corporate action processes
Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
Act as a key contact for business representatives, client services, and regional stakeholders.
Manage Jira and Confluence to maintain up-to-date documentation, process flows, and issue tracking.
Perform impact analysis for new projects and system enhancements, ensuring operational readiness and clear communication of changes across stakeholders.
Key Skills & Competencies / Preferred Attributes (If applicable)
Minimum 8 years of operations experience in the financial industry, ideally in custody or corporate actions.
Strong understanding of global and local market practices, regulatory requirements, and tax reporting (US QI experience is a plus).
Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing high-performing teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Macros/VBA knowledge is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work early shifts and Singapore public holidays when required.
