Job Title: Senior Database Administrator ">

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, monitor, implement, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize database systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop software or utility tools to automate and efficiently manage large-scale databases.
  • Detect, localize and address database faults to improve recovery speed from anomalies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance database performance and stability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure continuous availability and resolve critical database issues.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of TCP/IP, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks and databases.
  • Database Knowledge: Basic knowledge of database theory and system architecture (indexes, transactions, ACID, MVCC, sharding, high availability concepts).
  • Programming Experience: Experience with at least one backend programming language (Python, Golang, Java, etc.).
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and networking is a plus.
  • Database Experience: Experience with databases such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, HDFS, or HBase is a plus.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
