The Opportunity:

At Cistri, we're seeking an Urban Designer to join our collaborative and high-performing team. You'll work closely with senior designers to help shape cities and communities across a diverse portfolio of projects, from greenfield developments to complex urban regeneration, transport, waterfronts, and commercial centres.

This role is ideal for someone who's eager to learn, open to guidance, and values clear communication and teamwork. We're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, listens well, and takes pride in producing quality work.

You will:

  • Contribute to creative design and delivery across all stages of urban projects
  • Support your line manager and the broader team in servicing client needs
  • Communicate clearly and regularly, working within a structure that supports your growth
  • Produce high-quality visual material and documentation across various platforms
  • Assist with site analysis, master planning, urban frameworks, yield analysis, and design guidelines
  • Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects with internal teams, clients, and consultants
  • Maintain awareness of urban design trends and best practice
  • Attend meetings and contribute to project discussions in a supportive team environment

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a design practice or consulting team
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office
  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Willing to learn, take direction, and grow within a collaborative environment
  • Positive, dedicated, and able to build strong relationships across the team
