Senior Specialist, Global Reporting & Analytics CoE (Global FP&A)
As a Senior Specialist in the Reporting and Analytics CoE at Bain & Company, you will play a crucial role in driving the analytical capabilities of the Global Financial Planning and Analysis teamlet to their full potential. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of reporting solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau to generate actionable insights that meet the needs of stakeholders. You will also be involved in automating reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency and support routine business activities.In this role, you will take on complex tasks independently or smaller components within larger projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards while receiving guidance and feedback from your supervisor. Your participation in cross-functional teams will involve offering support in analytics and business intelligence by gathering and preparing data to deliver insights that assist Managers and Senior Managers in shaping solutions and providing recommendations.Your role will also involve working on implementing best practices in automation and business intelligence reporting within the team, ensuring consistency and quality in deliverables as per established standards. You will contribute to innovation efforts by bringing ideas and assisting in project execution aligned with the firm's goals. Additionally, you will actively engage in promoting a positive and collaborative team environment while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members to help develop their skills and align their work with project goals.To be successful in this role, you should have 7-9 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions development, with a focus on tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau. Proficiency in data visualization tools and SQL is essential, along with a strong understanding of best practices in data-driven reporting. Prior experience in the Finance function or a basic understanding of finance fundamentals is preferred, along with a concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, or Business Analytics.Furthermore, you should possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to develop innovative solutions for complex data analytics challenges, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes. Your understanding of data structures, algorithms, and programming principles will be valuable in applying them to data analytics and reporting solutions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with team members and articulating technical aspects of data solutions and automation techniques.Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, critical thinking, and a commitment to learning about emerging trends in data analytics and AI will be beneficial in improving project outcomes. Experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with stakeholders across different offices and regions, and adapting to changing priorities will also be key to success in this role.
