Overview
Hivebotics is a robotics startup pioneering the future of autonomous cleaning solutions. Our flagship product, Abluo, is a restroom-cleaning robot that integrates autonomous navigation, robotic arms, and advanced cleaning subsystems. We are looking for a hands-on and customer-facing Robot Field Deployment Engineer to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As a Robot Field Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out robot deployments at customer sites, ensuring smooth setup, operation, and maintenance of our restroom-cleaning robots. You will serve as the key bridge between Hivebotics’ engineering team and customers on the ground.
Responsibilities
Deploy Hivebotics robots at customer sites, from setup to full operational readiness.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware, software, and connectivity during deployment.
Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on robots.
Work closely with the engineering team to provide on-site feedback and improvements.
Interface with customers during deployments, ensuring a smooth handover and handling their operational concerns.
Support overseas deployments, sometimes for extended durations.
Be available for non-standard hours (night shifts, weekends, or public holidays) depending on project schedules.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Proficient with Linux terminal commands; familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) is required.
Hands-on experience with AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) and/or robotic arms is a strong plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and software aspects of robots.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers directly.
Willingness to travel overseas for deployments (up to several weeks at a time).
Flexibility to work outside regular office hours when required.
Internship applications are also welcomed for candidates looking to gain field experience in robotics.
