Senior Specialist Estimating (Civil, Structural and Architectural)
2 year contract role
Salary package: Up to $4, month yearly bonus + project completion bonus
Responsibilities:
Review tender documents and proposals to assess project details and requirements.
Interpret engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, scope of works) for accurate estimating.
Prepare detailed and precise quantity and component take-offs.
Provide clarifications during tender/RFP submissions.
Maintain and document bid project information.
Benchmark rates against industry standards and validate BOM rates using first principles.
Negotiate rates with suppliers and subcontractors.
Compile and check tender bids for accuracy and completeness.
Work with the estimating team, reporting to managers as required.
Coordinate with other estimators and engineers.
Act as mentor to junior team members.
Maintain pricing databases and support colleagues in estimating and tendering.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, commercial) to close scope gaps.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years of CSA cost estimating experience.
Competitive bid experience preferred.
Strong technical understanding.
