Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineering Specialist to join our team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned data engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of data pipelines, models and infrastructure that support business growth and operational efficiency.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
  • Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and integration, leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Databricks.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure technology alignment, focusing on data quality, governance and security standards.
  • Develop reusable data models and secure access mechanisms for end-users, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Implement data quality, validation and governance processes, maintaining metadata and data catalogues.
  • Research and implement modern tools, technologies and best practices in data engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of system design, data modeling, data storage and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and shell scripting.
  • Experience in batch and real-time data pipelines with orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
