Position Overview : GFTN is seeking a proactive and creative individual to manage strategic projects focussed on FinTech ecosystem development, including hackathons, accelerator programmes and talent development programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in marketing, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and innovation to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the expansion of GFTN’s innovation, learning and talent development activities and hackathon proposition.
Lead the planning and manage the team responsible for the execution of innovation activities, including GFTN’s flagship Global FinTech Hackcelerator.
Grow a community of collaborators, including corporate champions and subject matter experts.
Develop the content programming to engage participants and fulfil partner entitlements.
Responsible for the execution of physical events as part of the Global FinTech Hackcelerator, including the workshops and demo day.
Support the team in delivering on GFTN’s talent development initiatives targeted at both aspiring and current professionals, including online learning, mentorship, in-person industry immersion and networking activities.
Work with programme partners to co-develop engaging learning activities for participants, including in-person industry visits and networking sessions.
Cultivate channels with universities, youth organisations and talent communities to drive participation in these initiatives.
Contribute to participants’ success by following up with at-risk participants identified.
Serve as onsite contact for programme stakeholders including supporting organisations, mentors and participants.
Support the team in implementing its learning and mentoring activities at the Singapore FinTech Festival.
Identify and recruit subject matter experts and mentors to contribute to these activities.
Collaborate and work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote innovation and learning initiatives and drive participation.
Contribute actively to the work of GFTN by sharing insights and developing activities relevant for the innovation ecosystem.
Qualifications and Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing or related field.
2-3 years project management experience in the startup ecosystem or education.
Skills and Attributes:
Effective communicator, comfortable leading discussions with senior leaders.
Strong creativity and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good-to-haves:
Experience organising innovation challenges or hackathons.
Experience organising talent development programmes.
Experience supporting large-scale trade conferences.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools such as AirTable, Softr, Fillout.
Strong interest in fintech, innovation and entrepreneurship.
