Islandwide Preschool Teacher Position

We are seeking an experienced and qualified early childhood educator to join our team as a preschool teacher in an islandwide role.

About the Role

  • This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work near your home while making a positive impact on young lives.
  • You will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to children in the L1/L2/EY1/EY2 age group.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing DECCE, ACEY or HCIC programs, which promote child development and learning outcomes.

Requirements

  • A diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is mandatory for this role.
  • A valid DPT certificate for L1/L2 is required, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Experience in infant care, including HCIC, CIT or ACEY qualifications, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment that adheres to established health, safety, nutritional and hygiene standards.
  • Cultivate social and emotional growth, confidence and self-esteem in children through play-based learning and activities.
  • Promote core values of early childhood education through engaging events and experiences.
  • Nurture trust and respect in relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Develop and implement teaching and learning approaches aligned with Curriculum Frameworks to ensure academic excellence.
  • Create stimulating and interactive learning environments that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in understanding the learning and developmental needs of young children from birth to age 8.
  • Employ effective classroom management techniques and document children's progress and learning achievements.
