SIMTech - Factory Automation Systems Traineeship ( )What the role is The trainee will support the development and integration of factory automation systems through hands‐on involvement in design, build, and testing activities. This role offers exposure to real‐world engineering projects and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance process efficiency and system reliability. The trainee will be exposed to various rapid prototyping tools through on‐the‐job training and under the guidance of an experienced mentor. What will you be working on The trainee will be tasked to perform a few of the following tasks: Assist in mechanical design and 3D modeling of automated equipment. Support system assembly, integration, and testing activities. Perform scientific and structured Design of Experiments, data collection, troubleshooting, and documentation. Collaborate with engineers in mechanical, electrical, and control system areas. Contribute to process improvement and validation tasks. What we are looking for Undergraduate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering. Interest in automation, robotics, or system integration. Basic knowledge of CAD tools and programming (PLC/Python) preferred. Proactive and detail‐oriented with strong learning motivation. Understanding of automation system design and integration. Skills in CAD design, system testing, and problem‐solving. Familiarity with sensors, actuators, PLCs, and motion control. Enhanced teamwork, communication, and project execution capabilities.
