Role Overview
As an APAC E&C Project and Control Manager you are responsible for ensuring the team processes trades in an accurate and timely manner, from internal front end trade capture systems, through the trade management systems, to clients via various delivery mechanisms, following established guidelines. You identify and resolve problems and use good judgement to refer more complex issues to senior colleagues where appropriate. You must identify, suggest and implement process changes that improve the level of service and control in Operations’ first line of defense. You should have broad knowledge of wholesale financial markets and a wide range of Energy & Commodity product knowledge. You should understand Operations and Global Broking strategy and work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Role Responsibilities
Ensure commercial focus and work with the business regionally and globally to deliver excellent service and support to clients, internal and external.
Collaborate with Global Operations to support change delivery, robust controls, and process improvements.
Drive strategic change and delivery at regional and global levels to move the department toward the target operating model.
Own the build-out, maintenance and enhancements of E&C’s global management information tool.
Regional ownership of the Duco implementation for E&C Asia, in partnership with London and Louisville, to drive change in reconciliation and controls.
Chair the CEO Asia’s Project Delivery Forum.
Identify and drive opportunities where Technology can enhance services to clients.
Work with policy owners and control functions to ensure appropriate policies, processes, systems and controls across Operations in E&C.
Participate in the Asia Control Attestation process.
Identify and implement process changes to improve efficiency or strengthen controls.
Engage with internal and external control and audit functions as appropriate, including Internal and External Audit.
Experience / Competencies
Strong understanding of the Energy & Commodity Markets and ability to educate the team where appropriate.
