Job Title: Purchasing Officer

This is a key role in the procurement department where you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of procurement including sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of chemical related materials.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing officer responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and procuring chemical related materials
  • Handle PO processing of internal & external requisition
  • Update and maintain purchase order file and suppliers' documentation
  • Responsible for goods to be received on time
  • Ensuring stock availability and placing timely orders as and when required
  • Prepare contract agreements
  • Ensuring that POs are all approved and proper signatures are obtained
  • ISO documentation update
  • Able to perform ad-hoc General Affairs duties as and when assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma level or relevant Chemical qualifications
  • 1 year's relevant working experience with chemical background is preferred
  • We are looking for candidates proficient in Mandarin, as the role requires communication with our Chinese counterparts overseas and handling documents, contracts, and regulations that are available only in Mandarin
