Product Development Manager, APAC

The Product Development organization within SharkNinja APAC drives the unique regional product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We act as 'product CEOs' partnering cross-functionally with a broad range of teams and suppliers – to deliver high satisfaction for our end users and strong business results. As a Product Development Manager for APAC, you will lead a category and the development of new products, based on agreed strategic priorities. This role requires leveraging a product development and engineering skillset. Responsibilities Be the category expert and understand key pain points for our APAC consumers. Lead New Product Development (creation and management) of assigned product(s), which solve APAC consumer pain points, from brainstorm phase through to mass production. Be responsible for collaborating with OEMs and/or SharkNinja LLC to develop new products. Collaborate with Front-End Innovation teams to drive concept creation, product design storytelling, and early-stage exploration. Be a design storyteller – capable of pitching future-focused concepts in a way that resonates and drives alignment across the business. Define and develop Product Definitions, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and new/flagship product technologies as the primary consumer advocate. Partner with Engineering teams to ensure early concepts are rooted in a strong, scalable, technically feasible strategy. Develop user-relevant design targets (KPIs) for product performance and user experience – and act as the beacon of these targets to the cross-functional teams. Partner with SharkNinja APAC's Consumer Insights team to develop consumer testing objectives and implement this consumer-driven feedback into product specifications and design iterations throughout the project development cycle. Conduct hands-on validation, both regionally and locally, using proven SharkNinja methodologies that gain internal confidence and support product readiness. Partner with Testing and Quality teams to define, develop and manage quality and performance testing procedures. Partner with Compliance teams to understand regional and local compliance risks/issues and be an advocate in early development to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with all local requirements. Manage product cost structure, reporting, and cost rationalization exercises – and collaborate with supply chain, and other relevant teams on strategy recommendations. Provide direction and oversight into the creation and execution of go-to-market collateral to support product launch, including instructional material and consumer-facing product specification information. Provide direction and oversight into the development of product troubleshooting and "FAQs" to support a 5-star consumer experience post-purchase. Upon delivering successful results, begin to grow, lead and manage a team – provide guidance on their assigned projects, ensure product success, support professional advancement within their role and within SharkNinja APAC, and hold them accountable to their specific job responsibilities. Qualifications / Requirements 6+ years of experience in product development, product design, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company. Bachelor's degree in engineering or product design (or equivalent experience). A passion for problem-solving, creative thinking, and technical excellence. Proven track record of taking consumer concept ideas through selection process and into tooling and mass production. A "100% on" consumer-first perspective when it comes to introducing new products/processes or improving current products. A mindset geared toward building relationships across cultures and multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. Highly-effective communication skills – both written (presentation/email) and in-person (ability to host succinct, effective conversations that solve problems and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management, including executive leadership team). Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment, with the ability to embrace change and shifting priorities – learning from each decision and staying focused on the path forward. Prior experience managing, leading, and developing team members. Willingness to travel frequently to visit key partners, target markets or SharkNinja offices as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
