Job Details

Our team seeks an individual to fill the role of a Flavourist Assistant, focusing on assisting in the accurate preparation and mixing of flavour samples within deadlines.

  • Ensure all produced flavour samples meet quality control standards by accurately following recipes and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive library of sweet flavours and ingredients, ensuring their organisation and accessibility for ease of use.
  • Support the technical team during sensory tests and experiments, providing crucial data and insights to aid in product development.
  • Safely dispose of waste materials generated from flavour sampling and laboratory activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of lab supplies, including glass bottles and raw materials, to ensure timely replenishment and avoid stockouts.
  • Operate, calibrate, clean and maintain all equipment and work areas in the laboratory to guarantee efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Store raw materials at optimal temperatures to preserve their quality and potency.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and record results, contributing valuable insights into the flavour development process.
  • Implement a culture of cleanliness and safety in the lab, adhering to environmental management systems and company policies.

Requirements

  • Hold a GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in Chemical Process Technology qualification, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures.
  • Prior experience in a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
