Environmental Quality Specialist Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental Quality Specialist to support healthy indoor environments.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and documenting contamination, assisting with remediation strategies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, HVAC systems, and construction sites to identify potential areas of concern.
  • Collect and analyze samples using approved protocols to assess indoor environmental quality.
  • Use moisture meters and infrared cameras to detect potential areas of concern, such as mould or water damage.
  • Document findings and prepare comprehensive inspection reports to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Assist in developing remediation and prevention plans in collaboration with environmental engineers or remediation teams.
  • Educate clients on risks and recommended actions to mitigate indoor environmental issues.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a diploma or certification in Environmental Science, Building Inspection, Occupational Health, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in indoor environmental quality or mould inspection is preferred.

You should also possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.
