Job Title: Crisis Planning & Operations Leader

Job Description:

The Crisis Planning & Operations Leader will be responsible for providing operational management direction and leadership for the department. Key responsibilities include designing crisis preparedness strategies, emergency response frameworks, and business continuity plans.

These plans will ensure readiness and preparedness for emergencies and crises. The Crisis Planning & Operations Leader will also lead risk assessments, tabletop exercises, and simulation drills to ensure that the team is well-prepared to respond to any situation.

Additionally, the Crisis Planning & Operations Leader will engage and coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and emergency services to support operational readiness, activation, and transition plans. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare emergency preparedness and crisis management principles.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of experience in managing hospital operations
  • Prior experience in healthcare emergency preparedness and crisis management would be an advantage
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) licence is required; possession of a Senior FSM licence would be an advantage
  • Additional certifications such as WSQ Emergency Response Management (for CERT and SIC) and WSQ Implement Incident Management Processes (for SIC and SMC), as well as experience with ISO Business Continuity Management) would be an advantage
