Join the Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending. The Gambling Safeguards Division administers gambling social safeguards and funds preventive and rehabilitative programmes for problem gamblers and their families. It also serves as the Secretariat to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). What you will be working on You will be part of a team that administers the NCPG social safeguards to protect the vulnerable from problem gambling. As a Manager (Operations, Social Safeguards), you will handle casework to help families and individuals who are at risk of harm from gambling. You will interview and assess the level of risk of individuals who gamble to facilitate decisions by a Committee of Assessors. In this role you will work with individuals who gamble and their family members. To be successful, you must be empathetic, a good listener, able to ask pertinent questions, analytical and persuasive. Responsibilities Explaining the social safeguards to individuals and their families Assessing cases, preparing reports and presenting the case reports Guiding public users on the use of the IT system to perform submission of applications and documents Making referrals to other agencies Motivating individuals to participate in rehabilitation programmes Designing service delivery workflows and standard operating procedures What we are looking for Tertiary qualification preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology Experience in service planning and operations will be an advantage Experience in data analytics, analysing trends and putting up statistical reports will be an advantage Be result‐oriented, meticulous and analytical Possess good interpersonal, written and communication skills A team player with ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast‐paced environment Self‐motivated and able to work independently Have a good knowledge of office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4 weeks from the closing date of this position.
