About the Division of Physics and Applied Physics

The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a position at the rank of Visiting Professor in Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of nanophotonics, particularly Deeply Subwavelength Superoscillatory Imaging (DSSI).
  • Fabricate and characterize nanometer-sized feathers, generate diffraction images, and use deep learning to obtain optical images with picometer resolution.
  • Contribute to collaborated research in the NRF-CRP programme with PAP colleagues and explore collaborations with other Schools within NTU.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 years of experience in cutting-edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies.
  • Expertise in AI and deep learning.
  • Able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain external grants and regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
