As a regulatory compliance specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to all relevant regulations and laws. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to various departments in meeting their compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and advise business units accordingly
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, exercising sound ethical judgment regarding business practices and conduct
  • Offer guidance to business units on how to comply with relevant requirements in the context of issues and problems that arise during normal business activities
  • Collaborate closely with business units to identify and manage regulatory risk, including handling time-sensitive incident reporting to authorities
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the organization's reputation and key stakeholders' interests
  • Develop and implement organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations
  • Design, implement, and execute compliance testing, continuous assurance, and reporting of compliance testing reviews
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance awareness of compliance policies and regulatory requirements among team members
  • Manage regulatory requests and inform senior management of significant compliance matters requiring attention or action in a timely manner

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A degree in computer science, information technology, information security, economics, accounting, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in compliance within a regulated financial industry
  • Strong analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proven track record of working well in a collaborative environment, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently
