**Electrical Engineer Role Overview:**

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in our operations.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical system design, installation, and commissioning, as well as knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of electrical system design and implementation.
  • Liaison with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Assessment and supervision of changes to integrated control and safety systems.
  • Selection, engineering, and commissioning of measuring equipment on site.
  • Leadership of innovation and sustainability projects, including collaboration with IT and OT departments.
  • Cyber security management for OT systems.
  • Process hazard analysis and hazard operability studies.
  • Close collaboration with construction and QA/QC managers.
  • Subject matter expertise for EC&I, harmonizing and setting standards for entities.
  • Budget creation, technical specification development, bid request package creation, and price comparisons.
  • Analysis of existing processes and participation in project teams to implement improvement projects.
  • Support for maintenance and operations on complex problems within electrical and instrumentation installations.
  • Evaluation of electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and coordination studies to ensure reliability and safety of electrical systems.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5-10 years hands-on engineering and construction experience in a refinery, large marine terminal, or process plant.
  • Strong desire to learn due to extensive knowledge required for this role.
  • Familiarity with IEC and IEEE as well as national codes.
  • Familiarity with basic process instrumentation such as level gauges and transmitters as well as process automation.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Ability to read and check drawings, P&ID's, PFD's.
  • Extensive knowledge of IEC, ATEX, and NFPA regulations regarding the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • LEW licence would be advantageous.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or Jira.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools, such as Siemens SIMATIC, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell Automation.
