Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for attending site surveys and meetings with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors to discuss engineering functional requirements and ensure project objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities

  • Attend site surveys and meetings with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors to discuss engineering functional requirements and ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare reports and method statements as required, ensuring all electrical works adhere to EMA regulations and guidelines under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
  • Assist licensed electricians in conducting regular site inspections to ensure maintenance programs are implemented effectively and in compliance with instructions and guidelines.
  • Standby and partner with licensed electricians to attend emergency call-up services at customer installations, investigating and determining the root cause of faults and reporting where applicable.
  • Interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams, taking on a specialist equipment role and providing training to internal staff as required.
  • Plan and execute corrective or preventive maintenance programs, participating in and supporting annual shutdown exercises as needed. Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment, and tools.
  • Assist licensed electricians in testing and commissioning electrical systems, providing excellent service to meet client expectations and ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum one (1) year's experience in electrical engineering environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
