Ecommerce Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Compliance Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure our online platform operates safely, ethically, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Control :
    • Develop and implement comprehensive policies to mitigate risks across our eCommerce platform, including fraud prevention, data security, and transaction compliance.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and develop strategies to minimize them.
    • Oversee daily activities for compliance adherence and prepare detailed reports on risk metrics.
  • Content Moderation :
    • Establish and enforce clear guidelines for user-generated content, including product listings, reviews, and community forums.
    • Manage the team and tools used to review and moderate content, ensuring swift and accurate responses to violations of our terms of service or illegal content.
    • Stay up-to-date on evolving laws and industry standards related to content, such as intellectual property and consumer protection.
  • Brand Protection :
    • Actively monitor for and remove counterfeit products and items that infringe on intellectual property rights.
    • Handle incoming intellectual property rights (IPR) claims and inquiries, working closely with legal teams and external partners to resolve disputes.
    • Protect the brand's image by preventing and removing misleading or harmful content that could damage our reputation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in compliance or risk analyst roles.
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Experienced in using SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in content moderation or policy enforcement on an online platform.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property enforcement (Trademark, Copyright).
  • Knowledge of global e-commerce laws and digital content regulations.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Superset.
  • Prior experience in an e-commerce or online marketplace environment.
