Director, Optimization

• As the Strategy and Optimization Director at McKesson, you will play a crucial role in executing GPO performance objectives for a specific group of strategic customers in the west coast region. Reporting to the Sr Director of Provider Engagement, you will collaborate with Onmark practices and sales teams to implement processes ensuring high-quality comprehensive GPO engagements. Your expertise will be essential in working with Clinical Services, Analytics, and Medically Integrated Dispensing teams to maximize potential within a complex healthcare environment, while also engaging with internal Business Development Directors and external biopharma partners.Your key responsibilities will include developing strategic plans with C-suite executives and physicians, identifying success factors to enhance performance on the Onmark contract portfolio, and driving initiatives to deliver results for members. You will be responsible for executing optimization activities for engaged strategic customers, working on quarterly Coordinated Aggregate buy-in strategies, managing compliance discussions on contract offerings, and leading projects to improve value and customer experience.In this role, you will collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Sales, Clinical Specialist Teams, MID, and Business Development Directors to drive contract performance and provider engagement. Your insights and coaching will be instrumental in supporting new and experienced sales teams, providing contract insights to biopharma partners, and presenting GPO strategies and market dynamics to different groups.To be successful in this position, you should have a degree or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare. Additionally, you should possess over 5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy development, and sales or consulting. Previous experience in Group Purchasing Organization and healthcare, particularly in Oncology, is highly preferred.
