About the Role

As our Chief Strategy Officer, you will work closely with the CEO and executive team to define, refine, and drive our corporate strategy, ensuring we stay competitive, agile, and aligned with long-term opportunities. You'll lead enterprise-wide strategic planning, explore new growth areas, and help us become more data- and insight-driven in how we scale and operate.

Your understanding of the food/agriculture value chain — from sourcing and trade to sustainability and market shifts — will be invaluable in guiding our decision-making at every level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape corporate strategy and long-range planning across core and emerging markets.
  • Market Intelligence & Growth: Identify trends, white spaces, and growth levers within the Agri/commodity value chain.
  • Execution Oversight: Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and work cross-functionally to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Investment & Partnership Strategy: Lead strategic evaluations of new business lines, JVs, M&A, and market entries.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop KPI frameworks to track progress against strategic priorities and make course corrections as needed.
  • Culture of Strategy: Foster strategic thinking across the organization, helping business units become more proactive, market-aware, and aligned with overall goals.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or strategic leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of executing M&As both in acquiring targets as well as securing an investment for a corporate client.
  • Strong exposure to the agriculture, food, or commodities industries — ideally in both operational and strategic contexts.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, global organizations, ideally with both emerging and developed market exposure.
  • Proven ability to lead high-stakes strategy projects and influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen — able to bridge data, market trends, and business needs into a clear strategic direction.
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator — able to align teams and drive collaboration across regions and functions.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
