Job Title: E-commerce Accounting & Compliance Specialist
The role of an E-commerce Accounting & Compliance Specialist involves managing financial operations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards within an e-commerce environment. Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department related to e-commerce.
Develop and maintain strong financial controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate and complete annual audits, providing information and answers to auditors.
Implement and maintain e-commerce compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure necessary measures are taken to mitigate financial risks.
Oversee tax compliance and filings, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with financial goals and compliance needs.
Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators and metrics.
Research and implement relevant accounting software to enhance financial tracking and reporting.
Stay updated on industry trends related to e-commerce accounting and compliance regulations.
Provide training and support to staff on financial compliance and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in e-commerce.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements for e-commerce businesses.
Proficiency with accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage complex financial data.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
