Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled culinary professional to join our team as an assistant chef. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who share our passion for delivering high-quality cuisine and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the head chef in preparing semi-fine dining cuisine, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards.
  • Execute food preparation and assist in presentation to maintain the highest levels of quality.
  • Procure and organise kitchen stock and ingredients to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Work closely with the head chef to maintain a well-organised kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the head and sous chef to develop new dishes and recipes that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and general housekeeping areas to adhere to health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Strong Passion for Culinary: We are looking for individuals who share our passion for delivering exceptional cuisine and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Rotating Roster: Flexibility is essential as we operate on a rotating roster system.
  • Excellence in Quality and Presentation: Our chefs must strive for perfection in every aspect of their work.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Organisational Skills: Effective communication and organisation skills are critical to success in this role.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Candidates must be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Certification in Culinary: While not essential, certification in culinary arts would be highly beneficial.
