We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Facilitator to join our team. As an integral part of our educational support services, this role is crucial in bridging the communication gap for students who are hard of hearing (HL).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality interpretation services between English and Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) for lessons, school activities, and programs. They will also work closely with teachers to modify teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes for HL students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and effective interpretation services for lessons and school events
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop adaptive teaching methods
  • Contribute to reviewing and enhancing school systems and processes to better support HL students
  • Offer consultation and capacity-building workshops for teachers and staff
  • Organize training sessions for parents and families of HL students
  • Participate in SADeaf events and meetings

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SgSL Course Level 3 or equivalent
  • Diploma or degree in any field
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the Deaf community an asset
