We are looking for a professional to work as an Educational Interpreter in a mainstream school environment.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with hearing loss by providing communication accessibility through the medium of Singapore Sign Language (SgSL).

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpretation skills, have achieved SgSL Course Level 3 or at least SEE2 Advanced Stage, and hold a diploma or degree in any field. Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching are preferred, as well as experience interacting with the Deaf community.

This is a full-time contract position with potential for renewal. As an Educational Interpreter, you will be responsible for interpreting English language to and from SgSL for lessons, school activities, and programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing interpretation services for lessons and school activities
  • Modifying teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with hearing loss
  • Working with school management to improve school systems and processes
  • Providing consultation and training to teachers and school personnel
  • Conducting and organizing workshops for parents and families
  • Attending and participating in meetings and events

As an Educational Interpreter, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and social development of students with hearing loss.
