Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an ambitious, dynamic Co-Founder to join the HYDRGEL management team. This is a chance to step in at the ground floor of a game-changing deep tech start-up. You will bring passion and drive to hit the ground running, leading the charge in raising capital and securing commercial contracts to accelerate early business growth.

Company Description

HYDRGEL is a pioneering start-up delivering a lightweight, reusable device that uses a cryogel medium to provide clean, safe drinking water at critical points of need. From outdoor adventurers to disaster relief and conflict zones, HYDRGEL ensures reliable access to potable water in the most challenging situations. Our mission is to support first responders and provide safe, tested drinking water to millions facing contamination risks worldwide.

HYDRGEL owns a unique patent and has already signed up a number of organisations (humanitarian, industrial and military) to join our pilot program.

Role Description

As Co-Founder, you will play a pivotal role in shaping HYDRGEL's strategic direction, driving growth, and turning vision into reality. This is a hands-on leadership role, encompassing capital raising, partnership building, and the execution of go-to-market strategies. You'll help establish HYDRGEL as a global leader in water innovation while working closely with the founding team to deliver life-changing impact.

Remuneration & Upside

  • As with most high-potential ventures at this stage, remuneration will initially be equity-based, giving you true ownership and alignment with the company's growth trajectory.
  • A salary and milestone-based bonuses will be agreed upon at the outset and unlocked as the company achieves defined funding and commercial goals. This ensures that while your immediate reward is equity, there is a clear path to cash compensation as HYDRGEL scales.
  • This structure reflects the reality of early-stage entrepreneurship: significant upside potential through equity, with additional financial rewards tied directly to value creation and business milestones.

Key Requirements

  • Proven ability to raise capital quickly — ideally with a strong personal network of investors, venture funds, family offices, or strategic partners.
  • Track record of closing commercial deals at pace, particularly in start-up or early-stage ventures.
  • Exceptional sales, negotiation, and deal-making skills, with the resilience to drive outcomes in high-pressure environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the independence, drive, and leadership to shape and execute strategy.
  • Experience in water technology, clean tech, or related impact-driven industries is advantageous but not essential
