System Development Manager Role

The role of System Development Manager plays a pivotal part in overseeing the development of software systems. This position will lead the software development life cycle for all systems software, encompassing requirement gathering to design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

This individual will be responsible for guiding and mentoring software developers as well as managing software development projects.

A strong understanding of systems software development methodologies, tools, workflow, and artefacts is essential. Proficiency in English (Writing and Speaking) is required for effective communication.

  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Monitor and track software development progress
  • Manage customer relations
  • Motivate team members and resolve conflicts

The ideal candidate should have 3 years of experience in IT project leadership and have completed one full SDLC cycle in large-scale systems development.

Certification in Project Management (such as PMP, CITPM) is an advantage. Experience in coordinating teams across multiple locations/countries/time zone for project delivery will be advantageous.

The successful System Development Manager will play a key role in ensuring that software projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
