Experimental Research Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Experimental Research Lead to pioneer new approaches to experimentation in adult learning, advancing innovation through authentic community-based research and distributed experimentation models.

The role focuses on building the capacity of stakeholder groups to co-design and conduct field research in their own practice settings, ensuring that the research process itself strengthens the ecosystem while generating actionable insights.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Shape, direct, and oversee distributed experimental research efforts, including the design of protocols and experimentation playbooks that equip community stakeholders to test innovations in authentic practice settings.
  • Develop and implement fit-for-purpose approaches to data collection and analysis across diverse experimental contexts, leveraging accessible analytics outputs that can be readily used by non-academic stakeholders.
  • Deliver both academic publications and practitioner-oriented reports to disseminate findings broadly and support the scaling of promising innovations.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate research degree (PhD or Master's) in the social sciences.
  • Experienced in managing a small team.
  • At least 8 years of relevant research in social science domains.
  • Strong track record in experimental and/or applied research, with openness to methodological innovation and community-engaged approaches.
