Research Innovation Lead Position

This is a challenging role for an experienced researcher looking to drive innovation in adult learning.

The Experimental Research Lead will be responsible for pioneering new approaches to experimentation in adult learning, advancing innovation through authentic community-based research and distributed experimentation models.

The role focuses on building the capacity of stakeholder groups to co-design and conduct field research in their own practice settings, ensuring that the research process itself strengthens the ecosystem while generating actionable insights.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design protocols and experimentation playbooks to equip community stakeholders to test innovations in authentic practice settings.
  • Develop and implement fit-for-purpose approaches to data collection and analysis across diverse experimental contexts.
  • Deliver academic publications and practitioner-oriented reports to disseminate findings broadly and support the scaling of promising innovations.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate research degree (PhD or Master's) in the social sciences.
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • At least 8 years of relevant research experience in social science domains.
  • Strong track record in experimental and/or applied research, with openness to methodological innovation and community-engaged approaches.
