Senior Lighting Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled lighting designer who can bring ideas to life through creative and effective solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in lighting design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

  • Oversight of the lighting portion of projects, including concept design, production of lighting layouts, lighting calculations, energy code compliance, report preparation, presentation materials, fixture schedules and specifications, hand sketches, project cost estimation, and reviewing mock-ups.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and architects to develop high-quality lighting solutions. They will also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., architecture, engineering, interior design).
  • 8+ years of professional experience in the lighting design industry, with a focus on project bidding, work winning, and client engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international applicable codes and standards, as well as deep understanding and knowledge of lighting systems and lighting controls.
  • Proficiency in lighting software such as Photoshop, DIALux, AGI32, Photometric Toolbox, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
