
Elder Care Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Elder Care Services Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme management, preferably in elder care/social services.
The Job Overview:
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our Volunteer Management Team and Elder Care Programme Team. This includes the After Life Memorial Service and Case Management.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, enhance and implement volunteer management policies and processes across the organisation.
- Direct the Volunteer Engagement Team to create a positive, engaging and fulfilling volunteer experience.
- Lead, promote and influence vision for the successful development of department.
- Create strategic plan, goal setting and measurement system for overall growth of the department.
- Conduct and deploy volunteers for home visits for AMS members.
- Prepare monthly report on the progress of Volunteer Engagement.
- Plan and implement initiatives or programmes for elderly.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the elder care programme, including budgeting, staffing and resource allocation.
- Recruit, train and supervise AMS team to ensure the provision of quality care services.
- Organise and facilitate in elderly befriending events to re-integrate beneficiaries back to the community.
- Explore avenues for the expansion of the AMS with external parties.
- Monitor and evaluate the program's performance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards of care.
- Gather and prepare supporting documents for government agencies submissions.
- Work with CRM vendors to ensure accurate integration of data.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports and document programme activities and outcomes.
- Conduct educational sessions and workshops for the team to raise awareness about elder care issues and promote best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in elder care, and implement improvements to enhance the programme's effectiveness and efficiency.
- Providing support for the Charity's major events and functions (eg. Anniversary dinner, Flag day and Befriending programme) organised by the Charity.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Social Work or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in programme management, preferably in elder care/social services.
- Strong knowledge of elder care service, regulations and practices.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Compassion, empathy and a genuine interest in improving the lives of elderly individuals.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
- Able to work on some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Possess a good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaker recipients.
