For more information, please visit Job Description The Programme Officer (Outreach and Engagement) works with assigned centres to execute programmes that facilitate interactions and engagement between the community and clients/caregivers. He/she collaborates with community partners and volunteers, guiding centres and volunteers in executing programme activities. The officer also establishes relationships with volunteers, grassroots organisations, and community partners to fulfil MINDS' vision of outreach and serving the unserved and underserved segment of the ID population in Singapore through the centre's operations. He/she works closely with the multidisciplinary team, including allied health professionals such as psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and/or speech‐language therapists, and training officers when designing the programmes. These programmes can be conducted at the centre or outside of it. The Programme Officer should have excellent communication, time‐management, and problem‐solving skills, and work well both independently and in a team with integrity, sensitivity, knowledge, and a drive to support and advocate for clients with intellectual disability. Responsibilities Develop and establish professional or social networks with local community to leverage community resources and volunteers to meet the varied needs of centre clients. Maintain and manage relationships with community stakeholders for sustained volunteer efforts and opportunities for clients in community participation, integration, and inclusion. Coordinate recruitment, deployment, training, and appreciation of community stakeholders. Connect, consult, and collaborate with relevant community partners, acting as a catalyst for raising disability awareness and inclusion in the relevant boundary of centre operations. Implement programme activities in collaboration with Training Officers and/or multidisciplinary team members at the centre. Identify gaps and areas of improvement for programmes and activities. Execute schedules and programmes for clients and caregivers in the community inclusive space. Orientation, recognition, and retention of volunteers and community partners. Ensure safety and well‐being of community partners, volunteers, and clients during programme activities, including risk assessment and management. Facilitate the provision of services to community/general public with the help of clients. Facilitate the running of community workshops between clients, caregivers, and the community. Qualifications & Skills Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or related fields with at least 2 years of working experience. Experience as a Training Officer or Teacher Aide with an interest in programme/curriculum planning is welcome. Strong team‐player with excellent people skills. Strong organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‐motivated, independent, and adaptable individual. Willing to work with people with intellectual disabilities.
