Marine: Assist in coordinating and arranging Oil Major Vetting Inspections and ensure timely follow-up as directed. Conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or provide vetting assistance as needed, recording and filing all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance in the common drive. Perform annual onboard navigation audits, ideally during short voyages. Enter audit results into the navigation audits database and ensure all deficiencies and defects are addressed. Help investigate and analyze the root causes of accidents. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team. Facilitate external safety audits and onboard training by coordinating with the designated audit or training company. Oversee cosmetic upgrades (Painting). Monitor and support all vessels (in coordination with OPS) regarding operational issues (Loading, discharging, tank cleaning, grade change). Quality and Compliance: Aid in implementing the Ship Management’s Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental Policies, including sailing onboard for short voyages to ensure the HSSEQ System is implemented on new vessels. Participate in the periodic management review of the HSSEQ system, document findings, and suggest necessary actions. Assist in maintaining and updating the HSSEQ Management System. Be a part of the internal Marine & HSSEQ audit team. Help establish annual ISM & ISPS audit plans, coordinate and conduct internal audits, and follow up on corrective actions. Assist in investigating and analyzing the root causes of accidents, marine casualties, and near misses. Contribute to the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of office and vessel contingency plans. Communicate with vessels on safety, navigation, operations, health, quality, security, and environmental matters, including responding monthly to Vessel Safety Reports and Near Miss Reports. Review all safety-related reports from vessels and similar reports from other sources. Requirements: At least 10 years of sea experience. Minimum 3 years of sailing experience as Chief Officer on Chemical Tankers (preferably on parcel tankers). Relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer’s certificate or Master’s license (an added advantage). Experience with Ship Vetting by majors, Ship, and Terminal Operations. Knowledge of maritime regulations. Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and willingness to travel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
