Join our international team of built environment specialists where your expertise will drive the success of SJ's newly established Programme Management business unit. The Manager, Bids and Proposal will be pivotal in crafting compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals that showcase SJ's vision and unique capabilities across disciplines and markets. With a strong expertise in proposal writing, pricing strategies and governance processes the Manager, Bids and Proposal will lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, intrisicly understand the needs of the business but also expectations of clients, and is able to syntehise this knowledge into delivering high-quality bids that maximize win rates and profitability. Responsibilities Innovative Projects: Write, edit, and refine high-impact and high-quality proposals including RFP/PQQ/EOI responses, as well as executive summaries. Ensure clarity and compliance of content while presenting concise yet compelling narratives for transformative projects that shape the future of our built environment. Pricing Strategy & Analysis: Develop competitive pricing models in collaboration with Finance teams, balancing competitiveness with profitability. Present pricing recommendations to senior leadership. Collaborative Environment: Work with diverse, cross-functional teams to produce winning content that highlights our unique value propositions and client-centric solutions. Strategic Influence: Develop competitive pricing models and present recommendations to senior leadership, directly influencing our business growth and success. Continuous Improvement: Drive the refinement of bid processes, templates, and tools, ensuring we stay ahead of industry standards and deliver exceptional quality. Leadership Opportunities: Act as the central point of contact for bid-related activities, fostering collaboration and innovation across departments. Centre of Excellence: Maintain audit-ready documentation for all bids, including approvals, version control, and post-submission reviews. Manage timelines, resources, and workflows to meet strict submission deadlines. Ensure adherence to internal governance processes (e.g., bid/no-bid decisions, approvals, risk assessments). Continuous Improvement: Refine bid processes, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency and quality. Maintain a knowledge repository of past proposals, pricing data, and lessons learned. Lead post-bid debriefs to analyze outcomes and integrate feedback into future strategies. Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
